Darwin Award Nominees Quit Competition

Human shield Britons quit Baghdad

Geez, what a bunch of wimps. They volunteer as human shields, then get all wimpy when they realize they actually have to stop JDAMs with their own bodies. I mean, what is the point of being a human shield if you aren't going to risk getting shot at? Pussies.

Well, at least Uzma Bashir gets it:

Iraq's decision to force the pace was welcomed by some of the 20 Britons remaining in Baghdad. "It's only fair," said Uzma Bashir, 32, a college lecturer who is one of the team leaders.

"We've come here as shields to defend sites and now the Iraqis are asking us to make our choice."

That's the spirit, Uzma! The Iraqis have a biowar facility baby milk factory that they want you to guard. Remember, when the JDAMs start falling, to catch the thing in both hands. All of us here in the States are laughing at rooting for you!

Update: Here's an article with more detail Best quote: "We play football in the afternoons and the Iraqis bring us cartons of cigarettes. It's just like summer camp." It's just like when I went to day camp when I was 10. The only difference is the presence of mass murdering kalashnikov carrying thugs.
