Well, I've now done my part to advance the anti-axis of weasels boycott. Therefore, this blog no longer has a Blaupunkt. We now buy American, and I have now installed some fine products from Harman Kardon now. I now feel more ideologically pure.

What you need to realise is that most of Europe is actually dead-against (no pun intended) a pre-emptive strike/war on Iraq. Even in the UK (where I'm sitting) which you may have heard is supporting the USA stance - this turns out to be utter hogwash.
For the record I'm no 'commie' (!) or 'liberal' or 'queer' or whatever pseudo-insult you want to throw this direction. I'm one of the activists who got Tony Blair elected twice with massive parliamentary majorities.
Just think you're slightly (ever-so) misinformed. Sorry to disillusion you...
Posted by: Steve on February 14, 2003 05:51 AMIf by "most of Europe", you meant the Neo-Holy Roman Empire, you might be correct. But since 16 of the 19 NATO countries agree with our position, and the letters from the Vilnius Ten and the Wall Street Journal Eight also support the US position, your argument that "most of Europe" supports your postion wears a bit thin. And as far as you being liberal, commie, or whatever, if you support the stance of ANSWER, then you have already shown where you stand on that point.
