The Floppy is dead, long live the CD

Dell has announced that they are no longer installing floppies in their machines. This is big news. The floppy disk is technology that is 32 years old, and has been a part of every computer I've ever used from the ancient Wang(I think it was wang) PCs running star trek, to Apple IIs, IBM PCs and PCjrs, C=64s, Macs, Amigas, Ataris, PCATs, the whole lot. Floppyless computers were considered dysfunctional in some manner. Now, with the advent of cheap CD writers, broadband internet, and the arrival of DVD writers, Floppies are no longer necessary. Now what am I going to do with my 450 Amiga floppies that I've got sitting around?
