The reality of the UNSC vote was that the entire concept of us waiting on France and Russia was simply a delaying tactic on our part. My guess is at worst, France and Russia would have abstained in a vote. The idea of delaying the vote was to get more troops on the ground in the Gulf, and to put a vote off until after the elections(for either domestic politics or diplomatic reasons). In any event, I think my prediction of a Thanksgiving attack is still good. The post election attack scenario is dead. I would also say that the Thanksgiving attack is less likely than it was when I first mentioned it in October. An attack is still going to occur before Christmas, though.
